I'm actually really happy right now. I feel like I'm finally a part of something important once again. I missed that feeling.
All my old after-school activities always made me feel good and made me feel like I was doing something worthwhile. I haven't had that great feeling in over a year.
My dance production class is having opening night tonight at VVC. We've been doing dress rehearsals all week, and I can't remember the last time I had so much fun. The friends I've made in this class are awesome. I have Valerie, but I've become good friends with Corrina and Analise. I'm still building friendships with Diane and Christina, but it feels so freaking awesome to have that again.
On top of having these cool girls as friends, we're all doing something we love. We're dancing and entertaining people together. When we're on stage, we have this awesome stage presence together that just clicks. Especially during our gypsy dance. "Shaking our shimmies" and all. I tore up my foot and now I have a huge bandage to stop blood from dripping, but the dancing is worth it.
I can't wait until next semester to see what our show's going to be. Wish me luck tonight!
