It's been a long time since I've been to this diary. It feels nice to write in it again, even if it is just one entry. It's like an old friend.
Things have really changed in my life. I think it's pretty safe to say that I've grown up in a lot of ways since last summer....or even from a few months ago.
Des and I have started talking again, and we're building our friendship up again. We're not best friends or anything, but we're talking, and it's really nice to be able to talk to that fun girl that I spent all of that summer with. We've both apologized to each other, and put the past behind us. My point of view is, why sit on the past and bitch and moan about it, when the present and future are great and there for the taking? There's no changing the past, but there is always hope for the future.
Jim and I hit our one-year mark about a month ago. Things have been really good between the two of us lately. We've had our rough times, and our great times. We've had our screaming arguments and our days when we can't get enough of each other. Every obstacle we've been thrown, we've managed to work through it. And trust me. Life has thrown us some OBSTACLES this past year. Things no person should have to deal with, yet we did. He moved out about three months ago and is doing great on his own. I'm so proud of him.
My parents have been fighting like crazy, and everyone expects them to split up, but what can you do? If that's where they're headed then so be it. I just feel sorry for my brothers and sister. Sure it'll be rough for me too, but I'm starting to become immune to their fights. I just brush it off and try not to think about it anymore.
Work sucks, but I have a job. Can't complain about that. It's hard to get a job out here, so I'm thankful I have one to get me through each month. Bills suck, but it feels good to be able to pay for them myself and not have to depend on anyone else to do it for me.
I have a snake now. She's an albino baby King snake. So pretty. I named her Zelda because she has a yellow triforce on her head. My snake is great. She tried to bite a little girl that I'm not to fond of. That made me smile.
I've gotten extremely close to my friends Joey, Michelle, and Tyler. They're the coolest people in the world....even though their music sucks. Joey's this cool guy who will do anything to make you smile. Michelle is loud and calls everyone an asshole, but she's a great person and tries to be everyone's mom. Tyler's the home-schooled spoiled kid in our little crew. He lives with his parents, but can mostly be found on Michelle's couch. He works at the D.C. with Joey and Jim. The five of us went to Vegas not to long ago and had an awesome time. Michelle and I shopped and the guys went looking for some famous bum guy....all in all they're great people to be around.
So that's what's been up with me lately. Maybe in another few months I'll have another update. Or not.
